Garden State GreenFest is dedicated to educating, inspiring and empowering children and adults to come together in their communities and workplaces to create a more sustainable planet for future generations. Times are Friday Mar 23 from 9am-2pm and Sat Mar 24 from 9am-5pm. Adult tickets are $7 in advance and $10 at the door. Children 17 and under free, as well as students with ID. Seniors 62 and over are free on Friday.

Innovative Energy and Environmental Technology Workshop: Power Generation from Sustainable Biomass in NJ

The Innovative Energy and Environmental Technology Workshop Committee is soliciting proposals from innovative biopower technology companies to give a presentation about their company at a conference on May 7, 2012. Companies that are interested in submitting a proposal should have commercial scale or demonstration scale systems that can produce electricity (and heat) from sustainable biomass feedstocks, especially waste-based feedstocks. US based and International companies are welcome to apply. In order to be considered for an opportunity to present, applicants must submit the following information (five pages maximum) by March 2nd. 1. Company Name, location of headquarters, website, and contact information  2. Names of the Company principals and of the proposed speaker  3. Description of the demonstration or commercial scale biopower technology and their location(s).
