Dear Stakeholder, 

 

Thank you for your assistance over the years to the New Jersey Board of
Public Utilities (Board) and Board staff.  The Board remains committed
to enhancing the quality of life for the citizens of New Jersey by
ensuring the provision of safe and adequate utility and regulated
services at reasonable rates. 

 

Our energy usage continues to increase, while our ability to meet
current needs continues to be a challenge.  Governor Christie and the
Legislature have tasked the Board with developing rules and regulations
that will ensure a balance between these two conflicting realities.  To
ensure that New Jersey continues to have reliable energy at affordable
rates, the Board is: Revisiting the 2008 Energy Master Plan; evaluating
mechanisms and processes utilized within the BPU's Clean Energy
Programs; and planning for rule development and implementation in
accordance with pending legislation.

 

The Board is committed to informing the public of these and other
changes, and to making sure that the public has the opportunity to
provide feedback as rules are crafted and program changes are defined.
Your participation in the stakeholder process will enable the Board to
balance properly the needs of ratepayers and utility companies.
