Furnaces and Boilers

The WARMAdvantage Program provides rebates for qualifying high efficiency furnaces or boilers. To be eligible, you must purchase, install, and operate home heating systems that meet all program requirements. Call 866-NJSMART or see below for detailed information.

Promotion Dates

Rebate levels are for purchases made on or after February 15, 2012.

Important:

Please allow up to 120 days from the date New Jersey's Clean Energy Program receives all required information to process your rebate. To expedite the processing of your application, please be sure to review the instructions carefully and provide all required information and materials.

Rebate Levels

There are two tables below, one for customers of Elizabethtown Gas, New Jersey Natural Gas, Public Service Electric and Gas, or South Jersey Gas, and another for Oil and Propane customers. Please refer to the correct table.

IMPORTANT:
Due to the limited availability of State Energy Program (SEP) funds, the propane and oil portion of this program must terminate at the earlier of when State Energy Program (SEP) funds are exhausted or June 30, 2012. The units must be purchased no later than June 15, 2012 and postmarked by June 30, 2012. Program termination information will be posted on NJCleanEnergy.com.

Eligible Equipment

Effective 7/15/12, the furnace requirements will be changing to match the new ENERGY STAR furnace criteria of minimum 95% AFUE with minimum 2% fan efficiency (Gas) or minimum 85% AFUE with 2% fan efficiency (Oil).

Until then, units on the current ENERGY STAR list or units listed on the January lists attached below will be accepted.

Additional Opportunities to Save

If you qualify for the WARMAdvantage rebate, you may be eligible for an extra rebate from your gas company. Check their websites below for applications and information.

  • Elizabethtown Gas offers additional incentives on qualifying water heaters.  Check their website for applications and information.
  • If you purchase an energy-efficient product for your home, you may also be eligible for a federal tax credit. Please consult your tax professional.
